Abstract

Oobjective: This research aims to examine the relationship between job stress, job satisfaction, and service quality among employees at long-term care hospital and to provide preliminary data for lowering job stress for employees and for raising job satisfaction and service quality.
Methods: This study is a descriptive correlation research which aims to study the correlation between job stress, job satisfaction, and service quality among long-term care hospital employees and implemented correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis between research subjects¡¯ general characteristics and aforementioned factors.
Results: Research results show that ¡®job stress¡¯ was low in average, while ¡®job satisfaction¡¯ and ¡®service quality¡¯ showed an overall favorable condition with a high average and statistically significant.
Conclusions: Results show the lower the job stress, the higher the job satisfaction and service quality, and the higher the job satisfaction, the higher the service quality. Study shows the necessity for raising work satisfaction among nurses and nurse assitants, the main personnel at long-term care hospital, who displayed relatively high job stress levels. To enhance job satisfaction levels, providing programs for managing job stress and improving work environment ought to be considered.
